Insurance & licensing

The coverage and paperwork each category needs on file before listings can go live.

General liability

Partners are the responsible party for the services, goods, and venues they provide. Gleevent facilitates discovery, booking, and payment, but is not a party to the service itself and does not assume liability for a partner's performance, acts, or omissions.

All partners carry general liability coverage appropriate to their category, with a certificate on file naming the business as insured. Certificates are re-checked at expiry.

Category requirements

Catering and bar partners require food handling certification and, where alcohol is served, the applicable state license.

Venues require occupancy documentation. Rental and installation partners require coverage for property damage during load-in and strike.

Entertainment and photography partners require general liability; equipment coverage is recommended but not required.

Keeping documents current

We notify you 30 days before any document expires. Listings pause automatically if a required document lapses and resume as soon as a valid one is uploaded.

Subcontractors

If you subcontract any part of a booking, your coverage must extend to that work, or the subcontractor must hold a verified partner account of their own.
