The founder

Michelle started Gleevent after planning one too many occasions across a dozen apps — a photo app for ideas, a spreadsheet for the budget, a scattered inbox for quotes, and a group chat that lost the thread by the day itself.
The breaking point was a bachelorette weekend in Vancouver, BC, planned inside a wedding app that was never built for it. Nothing fit, everyone was confused, and the tool created questions about the actual wedding that could have been avoided.
She is also a mom first who has always showed love through hosting. Between planning for her kids, her friends and her family, the same truth kept surfacing: this is always harder than it needs to be. That is what became Gleevent.
Her background is product management at Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies, where she spent her career building B2B and platform products. Gleevent applies that to celebrations: one platform carrying a Gleemer from the first spark of inspiration to the last confetti drop, and carrying the businesses who supply them alongside.
The company is built in Austin, Texas, with a conviction that a well-planned occasion should be within reach at every budget with simplicity.
